Laser Treatment Planning & Personalised Skin Programs

Your Skin, Your Plan: The Secret to Results.

At Northern Sydney Dermatology & Laser, we believe exceptional skin outcomes begin with tailored, medically guided planning. I’m Dr Nina Wines, an experienced procedural and laser dermatologist . I specialise in creating personalised skin programs using the full spectrum of procedures and advanced lasers—designed to safely treat skin concerns while restoring confidence.

Why Personalised Planning Matters

No two patients—and no two skin journeys—are the same. Your skin’s health is shaped by genetics, sun exposure, hormonal changes, medical history, and past treatments. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all laser packages, I take the time to:

  • Analyse your skin in detail

  • Understand your history, goals, and lifestyle

  • Create a strategy that is precise, safe, and results-focused

This planning process is the foundation of better outcomes and fewer sessions—so you spend less time recovering and more time enjoying your skin.

The Power of Individualisation and Combination Treatment

In many cases, patients present with a constellation of concerns—pigmentation, redness, textural roughness, and scarring. I specialise in combining procedures (skin care, injectables & laser combinations to achieve more outcome in a skin session. The benefit of our practice is that we are large and have every wavelength of laser and technique available for us to select precisely the best options for you.

This approach:

  • Maximises efficiency & precision of outcomes

  • Reduces total treatment visits

  • Tailors downtime to your life schedule

What Happens at Your Consultation

You’ll receive a full-face dermatological assessment, including:

  • Clinical photography

  • Examination of your face to exclude skin cancer

  • Identification of underlying damage (e.g. field actinic damage), types of age spots etc

  • Laser safety suitability for your skin type

  • Discussion of realistic outcomes and risks

I’ll provide a written treatment pathway, often spanning 3, 6, or 12 months. This may include:

  • A combination of vascular, pigment and resurfacing lasers

  • Medical-grade skincare

  • Topical or oral prescriptions (if relevant)

  • Injectable options if appropriate for skin regeneration, skin moisturisation, skin quality or volume restoration

Ongoing Support and Monitoring

I personally guide you through your treatment program. After each session, I monitor healing and outcomes using photographic follow-up. Many patients check in with me via email or secure messaging for reassurance, healing tips, and planning next steps. You won’t be left on your own—we’ll walk the journey together.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I know which lasers are right for me?
You don’t need to know—your job is to bring your concerns. My role is to assess your skin and select lasers that are safe, effective, and suited to your specific condition, skin type, and downtime preferences.

Can I get everything treated in one session?
Often, yes. With expert planning and access to multiple platforms, I can safely combine treatments (laser stacking) to address redness, pigmentation, texture, and more in a single session. But safety and suitability always come first. For those who have building damage for decades more than 1 treatment is required

Is laser planning only for complex cases?
Not at all. Even simple concerns benefit from precise planning. It prevents overtreatment, avoids the wrong lasers, and ensures you get the most out of your time and budget.

Will I need maintenance treatments?
Most patients benefit from maintenance once their skin has stabilised. This could be once or twice a year, depending on your age, skin history, and environment.

How much does a treatment plan cost?
Planning consultations are charged at the standard specialist consultation fee. A clear quote is always provided before any treatment. Package options may be discussed depending on your program.

Results vary between individuals. Images are of patients treated by Dr Nina Wines and are published with their consent. These are for illustrative purposes and are not a guarantee of results

These are few of the results I am pleased with lately. I’ve enjoyed what the treatment has mean’t to these patients for many different reasons.

It’s important to appreciate maintenance achieves the most consistent outcomes. This way results build on results. I have patient’s whose skin looks more uniform an even 10 years later than when they started due to their consistency and commitment to annual treatment.
